Meet Erika D. Johnson at City Books on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 1:30-3:00 PM
Erika D. Johnson founded Beata Beatus, a manufacturer and distributor of minimalistic & encouraging tees, with the goal of creating content that served the needs of people & help them to build healthy & purposeful lives.
In 2017, Erika entered a pitch competition with her idea to expand the BB mission–and won 1st place.
Shortly after, Beata Beatus Co. became a fiduciary group running a summer program titled HICAP (Healing Intensive Creative Arts Program), an integrative health & creative arts program for preteen and adolescent girls.
In 2020, Beata Beatus Co. became a Benefit Corporation and continues to fulfill
its mission; to create products and services for purpose-driven growth, healthy social development, and academic support for youth & young adults in the Pittsburgh community.
In 2023, Erika published The Encouragement Guide: An Interactive Journal to Build Healthy Self-Esteem and Confidence for Girls, an activity journal designed to inspire and empower teen & tween girls to build a daily practice of self-love and journaling through writing prompts & guided activities. The Encouragement Guide allows young girls to:
Practice building self-esteem–Prompts and activities will help teen girls better understand & process their emotions, express them through writing and celebrate themselves confidently.
Explore their strengths–With this journal, girls will become more aware of what makes them brave, curious, and resilient with guided questions and space to reflect.
Encourage Individuality–Create a safe space for teen girls to explore their hopes and dreams while learning to be their authentic selves and celebrating what makes them unique.
