Justin Vicari is a film theorist, poet, fiction writer, and translator. His writings on film have appeared in such journals as Postmodern Culture, Film Quarterly, Bright Lights Film Journal, and others. His most recent book, In Search of Lost Joy, was published by Main Street Rag Publishing in 2018. His first book of poems, The Professional Weepers (Pavement Saw Press, 2009), won the 2007-2008 Transcontinental Award. He is also the author of the poetry chapbook, Siamese Twins of the 21st Century (West Town Press, 2009), and the translator of Woman Bathing Light to Dark: Prose Poems by Paul Eluard (Toad Press, 2009), and The Baden-Baden Learning Play on Aquiescence by Bertolt Brecht (Toad Press, 2009).
