Shelf Life: The Show

Shelf Life logo Tw size

City Books is proud to partner with PCTV21 on a project called Shelf Life, a book show about Pittsburgh authors and topics relevant to western Pennsylvania and the tri-state region. Hosted by Arlan Hess and directed & produced by Carl Cimini, Shelf Life’s mission is to explore issues related to poets and writers, support dialogue between writers and audiences, and increase literacy across ages and genres. Most of the guests have appeared at City Books’ events where their titles are available for sale.

Currently on a COVID-related hiatus, past episodes can be viewed on the City Books website and on PCTV21’s YouTube channel. A shoppable list of the books is available via our digital storefront here. Alas, our Bookshop list is missing Joan E. Bauer’s The Almost Sound of Drowning and Justin Vicari’s In Search of Lost Joy (both published by Main Street Rag), and Matt Holbein’s 24-Hour Flowers (The Foliage Library). If you are interested in those titles, or if anything else you are looking for on the list is backordered, please contact the bookstore directly at citybookspgh@gmail.com for over-the-counter orders.

Questions, comments, and inquiries may be directed to citybookspgh@gmail.com.
