With a flexible floor plan that can accommodate about 30 adults, City Books is an ideal venue for small lectures, readings, and author/artist’s events, as well as casual parties and mixers.
The bookstore sponsors one event a month, usually on Saturday nights, highlighting local authors or those with a strong Pittsburgh connection. Similarly, City Books observes well known literary celebrations, such as International Children’s Book Day, Independent Bookstore Day, World Book Day, and Banned Books Week.
Additionally, City Books is proud to partner with the Mt. Lebanon Library as the exclusive on-site vendor for their author events series. When you support City Books, you support the Library — and vice versa. Featuring a diverse line-up of writers from around the world, the Library’s events are held on Tuesdays or Thursday nights at 16 Castle Shannon Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15228. All Library events are free, but many require registration. Please click here for registration information.
